May you find comfort, encouragement, guidance, hope, inspiration, love, and peace – May you also find answers to your question(s) through the Scriptures that address every situation you face, and help with your problems. Deb

Dear Lord, open our hearts and our minds to the power of Your Word, which as we read, we may know, understand, and obey Your Word for us today. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen. (Author unknown)

Today’s scripture reading:

How can anyone pray at all times? One way is to make quick, brief prayers your habitual response to every situation you meet throughout the day. Another way is to order your life around God’s desires and teachings so that your very life becomes a prayer. You don’t have to isolate yourself from other people and from daily work in order to pray constantly. You can make prayer your life, make your life a prayer while living in a world that needs God’s powerful influence. We also should pray for all believers in Christ; so pray for the Christians you kinow and for the church around the world. (NLT)

Ephesians 6:18-19 – Pray at all times and on every occasion in the powr of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere.

And pray for me, too. Ask Goid to give me the right words as I boldly explain god’s secret plan that the Good News is for the Gentiles, too.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. –Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

Mary Ellen Piland (North Carolina) titled her story “PRAYER WORKS;” here is Mary Ellen’s story:

“Recently a routine eye exam revealed a macular hole in my left eye. I had not noticed any changes in my vision, but I was suddenly in danger of losing my sight and needed surgery immediately.

“Anxiety overwhelmed me. I tried to cope on my own by reading scripture and reciting memorized verses, including today’s verse. I reached out to my pastor to ask for prayers for my doctors, my husband, and me. I began to feel some relief. I was hesitant to seek help on social media, but what better way to ask for prayers from many friends?

“As I was getting ready the night before surgery, I was surrounded by calm feelings of peace, warmth, and safety. My anxiety left me. I felt the prayers working in my life in a way I had never felt before. Reading the thoughts and prayers of my social media friends helped me face my health issue. Reaching out to others who share my faith in God gave me strength. I know prayer works, so I continue to pray for others no matter how the request comes.”

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY – My prayers can strengthen others.

Prayer: Dear God, thank you for the strength Christ brings us when we pray. Amen.
